The Automatic Greeting Card System

I'm sure you've seen them before, just try a google search for "Greeting Cards", and you'll find hundreds of sites allowing you to send greeting cards. One of my favorites is the Jib Jab "Staring You cards"

Most of these greeting cards all work the same way, you walk through a little wizard, pick your card and your sender, and "viola" your card is readyLink

Back in 1996 during my 2nd year of university, I designed on of these greeting card systems myself. But it was a bit different. This system allowed you to have recurring birthday messages sent out every year to the people you specified.

It was a unix shell script that ran on one of the university servers; and it was somewhat popular.

Well, that script has been gone for sometime now, but for the last while I've been trying to resurect it. and now I'm proud to say, I've done it.

Imagine, the ability to enter a greeting card, and send it to your family, friends, work colleagues, and business clients on a regular basis. All with one single setup

Well, all you have to do is go to bwebcentral.com/gcard, fill out the the form and you're on your way.

Please Note: At present, I've only had the time to implement the "birthday" greeting card, but I'm hoping to add more soon.

Please give it a try - hope you find it useful!
